Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

In effect since August 1, 2026. This policy tells you what personal information neopeptide.ca collects. It also tells you why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet two privacy laws. One is Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The other is British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

  • Order details — your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number (if you give one). It also includes what you ordered and what it cost.
  • Payment details — we accept Interac e-Transfer. Your bank or other financial institution handles the transfer. We get a message confirming that a transfer was sent, and the name on it. We never see or store your bank login details or card numbers.
  • Account details — if you create an account: your username, password and order history. Your password is stored in a scrambled form (hashed).
  • Messages — messages you send us and our replies.
  • Technical details — your IP address (a number tied to your internet connection) and your browser and device type. It also includes the pages you open and the date and time of each. These are recorded in our normal server and security logs.

Why we collect it

We use it to take, process, pack and ship your order, and to help you with it. We use it to match your payment to your order, and to prevent fraud and abuse. We use it to keep the records that Canadian tax and business laws require. And we use it to answer you when you contact us. We do not use your information for automated decision-making (when a computer decides things about you on its own).

Your consent

When you give us your details to place an order, you consent (agree) to us using them for that order. We send marketing emails only if you say yes to them separately. Each one has an unsubscribe link. Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires this. You can take back your consent at any time. This will not affect an order that is already in progress.

Who we share it with

We share it only with those who need it to deliver your order or run the site. They are shipping carriers, our web host (the company that runs our website), and our email provider. We share only the least amount needed. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with other companies for their advertising.

Some of these companies may store or handle data outside Canada. There, the laws of that country can apply to it. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Our site uses cookies that it needs to work. They keep your cart, keep you signed in, and protect against fraud. We may add cookies for analytics (tracking how people use the site) or advertising in the future. If we do, we will update this policy before we turn them on. We will also ask for your consent where that is required.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records as long as Canadian tax and business-records laws require. This is usually six years. We keep account information until you ask us to delete it. We keep server logs for a short time only. Old log entries are deleted on a rolling basis.

Security

Our site uses HTTPS, which scrambles the data sent between your browser and our site. Only people who need your order data can access it. No system is completely safe. But we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Some steps are technical. Others are about how we run our business. A breach is when information is lost, or accessed or shared without permission. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will tell you. We will also tell the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we have about you. You can ask us to correct it. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. You can also take back your consent to marketing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca. This is the national office in charge of privacy. Or you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at oipc.bc.ca. This is the BC office in charge of privacy.

Children

This site is not meant for anyone under the age of majority (the age you legally become an adult). We do not knowingly collect information about them.
