What is Sermorelin?

Sermorelin is a peptide. A peptide is a short chain of the same building blocks that make up protein. It is made in a lab. It copies the signal your brain sends to say “release growth hormone.” The natural signal has 44 building blocks. Sermorelin copies the first 29, which is the part that does the work.

What is it for?

People look into Sermorelin to raise the body’s own growth hormone. The main areas are:

• Growth. Growth hormone helps children grow. Sermorelin was once a medicine for children whose bodies did not make enough of it.
• Ageing. The body makes less growth hormone as we get older. Small studies in older adults looked at raising it back up.
• Muscle, body fat and sleep. In adults, growth hormone plays a part in keeping muscle, using stored fat and deep sleep.

How does it work?

Growth hormone is made by a small gland at the base of your brain. The gland waits for a signal from the brain before it lets growth hormone out. Sermorelin sends that same signal. The gland then releases the body’s own growth hormone in bursts, the way it normally does. This is different from adding growth hormone from outside the body.

How strong is the proof?

Sermorelin has more history than most peptides like it. It was once an approved prescription medicine in the United States, for children who did not make enough growth hormone. It was later taken off the market for business reasons, not safety. It is not approved in Canada, and studies in adults are small. We don’t promise any results.

How do I mix and store it?

The peptide comes as a dry powder because powder stays fresh much longer than liquid. Before it can be used, the powder is mixed with bacteriostatic water, which is clean water made for this job. Both copy the same natural “release growth hormone” signal. Sermorelin is a plain copy, so it breaks down within minutes. CJC-1295 No DAC has 4 building blocks swapped, so it breaks down slower and lasts longer. Sermorelin has more studies in people, because it was once a medicine.

What is the difference between Sermorelin and Ipamorelin?

They press different switches. Sermorelin copies the brain’s own release signal. Ipamorelin copies a hunger hormone that also tells the body to release growth hormone.

Why was Sermorelin taken off the market?

The company that made it stopped selling it in the United States for business reasons. It was not removed because of safety problems.

Are there side effects?

Yes. In studies, the most common side effects were redness, pain or swelling where it was injected, and flushing (a warm, red face).
